More Christmas Cards using Inspired by Stamping

Hi everyone,

Another quick post from me today.

Here is a vintage looking Christmas Card that I have created using products from Inspired by Stamping.

I did a lot of sponging with distress inks and then just layered my stamps over each other.

I have used the following supplies -

Inspired by Stamping Build A Stocking stamp set

Inspired by Stamping Poinsettias stamp set

(see, you don't HAVE to only use Christmas themed stamps to create a Christmas card)

Angry Birds Rock!

Hi there everyone. I have just finished up a really cool card that is for my nephews birthday next month.

My nephew LOVES Angry Birds and I have to admit that I quite like playing the game too. I went hunting for some punch art. I found these handy instructions HERE

I ended up having to adapt quite a lot as I don't have the required punches. Dies and other punches came in handy - they all worked quite well in the end.

Here is my card -

Aren't the Angry Bird characters adorable!! I really loved how this turned out. When I had my little characters made, I was trying to think of a design. I decided on a pop up card so they could all be displayed nice and proud lol.

I even used some strips of transparency here so they looked like they were really popping out. It worked well for the clouds too.

The sentiment is from Paper Smooches and embossed with white powder.

I think my nephew will be pleased with this one :)

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges -

Send A Smile - Anything Goes for Kids
Digi Designs Challenge - Creations for Kids
Time Out - Embossing

ATCAS Challenge #53

Hi everyone! Today is the start of a brand new challenge for ATCAS. We also have a DT call throughout this challenge so if you would like to join a wonderful team who love creating Clean and Simple projects then you should apply!

I have to say goodbye to Marie (Mrs P, Ugly Bum, Sook face) as this will be her last post for us over at ATCAS. Marie and I have a very strong bond and were so lucky to meet each other over in Spain earlier this year. We had so much fun and I miss her to bits. I have a certain video of her dancing around the kitchen after we had a few beverages one day so I would just like to remind her that I know how to upload to YouTube now and she had better start being nice to me!!!! (insert evil laugh)

Right! Onto our challenge -

Here is the code word that was chosen by my Canadian Bestie, Loll

and our wonderful sponsor is

Inspired by Stamping

The winner will receive a $20 certificate to spend at the store!

I have made two cards today. The first using IBS products -

I have used Acrylic Block Stamping for my background and I have created a video tutorial for this card. You can see it over on my YouTube channel HERE. Don't forget to subscribe. This is only my 2nd video so bear with me until I can purchase a better microphone :)

Stamp sets from Inspired by Stamping - Spring Lilacs and Big Holidays

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges -

Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes
Little Miss Muffet - Clean and Simple

Here is my second card -

Using the same Acrylic Block technique, I masked off my panel to concentrate on inking up the centre of the card. Once this was completely dry, I embossed a tree from the Lovely as a Tree set (SU). Then using a silver sharpie, I drew the border and added dots to the background.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges -

Time Out - Embossing with optional twist of Sparkle (my silver pen adds sparkle)
Fan-Tastic Tuesdays - Add one or more Trees

ATSM Challenge #123 - Holiday

Good morning!

Today we are up to our HOLIDAY challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More!

We also have a DT call going on for this challenge!

Our wonderful sponsor is Rick St Dennis and I have used one of his images for my card -

These little cuties are called Star Pixie Trio

I have coloured them with my Spectrum Noir markers and then fussy cut out. I popped them on the card using dimensionals but left the tops of their hats and bent them over a bit.

The sentiment is a wood stamp that I don't have a name for :(

The prize will be 3 digis to our winner!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges -

Card Mania Challenge - Use a Digi
CAS on Sunday - Card for a Child (my Xmas card is for my nieces)

CAS Christmas Cards

Hi there everyone, I hope you are all well.

Today I am sharing with you a set of very easy CAS Christmas Cards using the sentiment set from Inspired by Stamping - Big Holidays.

These cards show you another way you can create a number of cards very quickly and with just one stamp!

Here are my cards -

Obviously I have used the same stamp but I have embossed it with different colours. This gives you a very CAS card but with lots of interest and even though they all look the same, using different colours gives the cards their own 'flavour'.

Adding sequins or gems are perfect for CAS cards. They don't take away from the actual design but add a nice, simple touch.

I find creating CAS cards very easy. They are the style that I feel most comfortable with.

Here are some of my tips when attempted to make a CAS card if you struggle with them -

1. Lot's of open space
2. Minimal embellishments or layers
3. One focal image

You may look at your finished CAS card and think it really needs something else (especially if you are used to layers etc). Try and restrain yourself. The thing about CAS is you don't have to fill up the card - less is best!

Here is the stamp set that I have used today -

(inspired by a card I found on Pinterest HERE)

Lot's of watercolouring on this one. I inked up an acrylic block, misted it with water and pressed it onto my watercolour paper. I did this a couple of times with blue and green inks. I inked the trendy leaves stamps with different colour inks and lightly misted them before stamping. The sentiment is from the Trendy Feathers set.

Another very CAS card from me but I really love how clean and simple can really highlight your image. I used a post-it note to mask a bit of the bottom of the Citygirl stamp. I thought she deserved to be in the spotlight so I framed her with a polaroid die. She's very photogenic huh?

Inspired by Stamping - Autumn Inspiration

Hi everyone and thanks for joining me today.

Today we are concentrating on Autumn/Fall cards over at IBS

To start with I laid some ink onto my craft sheet and misted it with water. Then I dragged a piece of watercolour paper over the inks. I dried it with my heat gun and the repeated the process with different colours. Sometimes I would blot at the ink with a paper towel.

I used the branch stamp from

the Sweet Aviary set, inked it with a couple of different colours then misted it with water before stamping. I then dried my piece of paper again.

Then using the small leaf from the

Autumn Blessings set, I stamped the leaf in all different colours.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the same set.

The end result was beautiful Autumn colours with floating leaves that didn't take long to make at all!

Thanks so much for looking today xx

ATCAS Challenge #52

Hi everyone! Well, even though it is still spring here in Australia we are experiencing some very hot weather at the moment. Our top today is expected to get to 34 degrees celcius. Blah! I'm writing this post while sitting in front of a fan trying not to melt!

I am a very proud blogger today as it marks ATCAS' 2nd birthday! Wow, where has the time gone? I am so grateful to my DT for all their support and inspiration and also all the followers of ATCAS. Thank you!!

Our new challenge at ATCAS is being hosted by the lovely Karen has chosen this code word for you -

Yes, we have a sketch for you!! Now, with the birthday celebrations you would think I would have made a birthday card.... Nope, still trying to get my Xmas card collection going.

Here is my DT card -

I used a small Lil' Inker Stitched Rectangle die to mount my gold embossed ornament (from SU Delight Ornaments set). The sentiment is also gold embossed and from the SU Greetings of the Season set. Oh! I scored the lines first :)

We still have Linda L as our Guest Designer joining in the fun at ATCAS so please don't forget to stop by and say hi.

Our sponsor this week is

AND because it is a birthday celebration, I would like to also offer our winner a personalised watermark to use for your creations valued at $25US

Speaking of the personalised watermarks, I had a little competition over my blog post HERE where a randomly drawn commenter would win a free watermark and blog signature.

Chosen by Random.org is BONNIE!

Next is a Cockatoo. These birds are sitting on a structure that we made for them which includes a bird feeder.

Last but not least are my little resident ducks. They really appreciate the old boat that we have filled with water. Water is a little hard to find at the moment as we are in desperate need of rain.

At the time of taking this photo there were about 8 cockatoos, 10 ducks and the pair of lorikeets.

ATSM Challenge #121 - Anything Goes

Hi everyone! Another week flown by and it is time again for a new challenge at ATSM.

This week we have our ANYTHING GOES challenge. I hope you will play along!

Here is my DT card -

I have used an image from our sponsor (Stitchy Bear Outlet) called Santa n Rudolph by Lil Diva Stamps.

I have coloured the image with my Spectrum Noir markers

Rudolph -
TN3, TN5, TN7, TN9
TN4, EB4, FS8
DR1, DR2, DR4, DR6

Santa -
DR1, DR2, DR4, DR6
GB3
FS8

Sleigh and Sack
GB3, GB5, GB6
LG4, LG5, JG1

It didn't photograph well but Rudolphs nose was covered it in glossy accents.

The sentiment is an old wood stamp and I have no idea where from!!

I am not completely happy with this card as I rushed it. I had it all coloured in about 20 minutes. It usually takes me a lot longer! I'm so unorganised lately lol lol

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges -

Inkspirational - Shine (courtesy of Rudolphs nose)
Spectrum Noir - Christmas/Winter
Without Words - Preparing for Christmas
Stamping Sensations - Simply Christmas

I hope you will join us in our challenge this week. Can't wait to see you there!

CAS Christmas using Inspired by Stamping

Hi everyone - today I am showing you a very, very quick and easy CAS card to make. This would be perfect to have a 'production line' going to get a lot done at the one time.

I have used the candy canes from the Build A Stocking set from Inspired by Stamping.

I drew a very faint line across the bottom of my card so I could stamp my candy canes straight.

The sentiment is from the Big Holidays set.

This card took no time at all!!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges -

ShowCASe your style - Tic Tac Toe (White, Red, Black)

Creative Corner Challenge - Christmas
Creative Card Crew - Christmas

Christmas Window

Happy Sunday everyone. I spent about an hour in my craft room yesterday having the Festive Friday inspiration photo in mind. I hadn't used a lot of my Christmas Dies for some time and decided to get them out and play.

I have created a Christmas Window (inspired by Kittie). I made a few of these last year and they are a lot of fun to make. Time consuming but fun :)

Here is my card -

I created the wreath using the Impression Obsession Twig Wreath Die (only the holly and berries) and the Pine Sprig Cluster Die.

I stamped the background with the SU Serene Silhouettes stamp. I haven't used this one before so it was nice to use it in this little scene.

The window is the Grand Madison die from Memory Box.

The cat is a die from Impression Obsession and I have added Baked Brown Sugar ink and Gathered Twigs Distress Ink to make him look like my siamese cat, Gadget. I had a few sparkly berries left over so I gave him a cute collar. This is exactly what Gadget does when there are birds out in the backyard.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges

Festive Friday (photo - the wreath and the house)

Alphabet Challenge - T for Traditional Christmas
